Welcome to the Kings Head from the landlords Ian & Suzanne Ballantine and their team of local, friendly staff
PLEASE NOTE: we are closed from
Monday 30th September until Monday 14th October inclusive
for annual holiday
At The Kings Head, a completely independent business, the whole team prides itself in looking after this very 'English' village inn,
nestled on the beautiful Suffolk coastline. This historic 13th Century pub
combines all the atmosphere of a traditional inn with great real ales including
Adnams Ghostship, Southwold Bitter
& Broadside with a guest ale appearing periodically,
a varied wine list and a selection of Adnams and other Spirits.
Situated at the
heart of the pretty village of Orford, The Kings Head is an ideal base from
which to explore the surrounding area which is rich in history and wildlife.
With stunning walks and a beautiful coastline on our doorstep, the choice of
attractions and pursuits are countless. We are dog friendly so your four-legged
companion can also enjoy a drink or meal with you. Alternatively, you may just
wish to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax in tranquil
surroundings; enjoy wonderful food and immerse yourself in village life for a
short-while, and again we have rooms available which can provide the perfect
“pet-away” break also.
Our three cosy and
comfortable guest rooms ensure your stay, be it a mid-week break or weekend
getaway, leave you refreshed and planning your return trip.
Why not combine
your stay with a leisurely walk around this beautiful area, we have our very
own walk which came highly recommend by Benji, our old pub dog, who is sadly no longer with us.
