The Kings Head menu
Our standard menu put together by our Head Chef Daniel Bunce includes
a variety of favoured pub classics including fresh beer battered cod, our own
home baked ham, the cajun spiced Kings Head burger, locally produced bangers
and a selection of lighter bites and salads.

The specials board is where Dan gets to showcase his innovation
and creativity producing dishes such as seared tuna
over sun blushed tomato, black olive and dill crushed potato, tomato dressing
and crispy poached egg or fig and blue cheese tartlet as a lighter bite.
Dan is an experienced and talented chef and has been accredited
with AA Rosettes in many of his previous positions as Head Chef, he has worked
in a Michelin Star restaurant and achieved an entry into the 2013 Michelin Pub
Guide as “Best New Gastro Pub” in Kent.
Dan loves to work with fresh, local ingredients and features
Orford landed fish on the menu whenever possible as well as an array of other
fresh fish dishes to tantalise the tastebuds.
His steak and ale pie has become a firm favourite and appears on
the menu frequently, along with other meat dishes such as pork belly, calves
liver, gammon or rump steaks all freshly cooked to order and nicely presented.
What we like to refer to as our “Unhurried Dining” menu also has
vegetarian options, many dishes are gluten free (please ask if you are unsure)
and homemade desserts.
Bookings are essential and our Sunday Roast is particularly
popular so a table (or a roast) cannot be guaranteed unless booked in advance.
We can cater for larger parties with a pre-set menu and private
hire of our 32 seater dining room is also possible, with a menu of your choice.
